Kristie McKenney

President & CEO

Kristie McKenney is the founder and President/CEO of Light of Life Ministries. A side ministry that was initially started to support women who have a history of child sexual abuse and help them to find hope and healing through faith in Jesus. This was done through a blog post and the offering of a 12-week bible study called Out of Darkness to local churches and organizations.

Ms. McKenney spent the majority of her career working on behalf of child sexual abuse survivors and their families. As the founder and Executive Director of the Hillsborough County Child Advocacy Centers located in Manchester and Nashua, Ms. McKenney led the charge of establishing the largest CAC in the state. She further worked to ensure that all children in New Hampshire have access to the high-quality care of a Child Advocacy Center as she transitioned to be the founding Executive Director of the CAC state chapter, The Granite State Children’s Alliance. She completed her two decades of work in the Child Advocacy Center field as the Director of Member Services and Chapter Development with the National Children’s Alliance, based out of Washington,DC.

In the midst of a worldwide pandemic, Ms. McKenney felt the call to get back to her community and open a transitional housing program to reach women and their children who are in crisis due to past trauma and sexual abuse. God led her to leave her secular career and go into full time ministry. The Light House opened in December 2021.

Ms. McKenney lives in New Boston, New Hampshire. She is a wife and a mother of four children. She loves to run, hike and cycle; mostly so she can enjoy her nightly treat of ice cream!
